"Drought in San Felipe Guanajuato"

According to the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI) in San Felipe Guanajuato during 2011 of the total sown area 71,570 acres were harvested only 23,307 http://www3.inegi.org.mx/sistemas/mexicocifras/?e=11&mun=30. The main problem is the drought. San Felipe has become in a drought area because of the excessive use of wood. Farmers’ crops do not have enough water and have to be watered just in rainy seasons. Not all of the communities have a water dam and the ones that do aren't deep and very small. Water scarcity makes a fall in the crops and people do not have seeds to eat like beans or corn, and much less to sell. At other times the land is abandoned and no longer used because of poor harvests, our target population is those farmers who are affected.
